Description

TRICONEX 4000093‑320 Cable Assembly

Product Overview

The TRICONEX 4000093‑320 is a factory‑pre‑fabricated shielded termination cable assembly for Tricon 3000 series TMR safety instrumented systems (SIS). It establishes the signal interconnection between high‑density digital I/O modules and external termination boards, eliminating field manual crimping and custom wiring errors. This pre‑assembled cable is a key accessory for ESD, BMS and other safety‑critical loops, ensuring stable signal transmission for SIL‑3 safety applications.

Typical Applications

  • ESD Emergency Shutdown System: Interconnect high‑density digital input modules with external termination boards for trip signal acquisition in refineries and petrochemical plants.
  • BMS Burner Management System: Field‑side signal wiring for flame detectors, safety interlock digital input points.
  • Fire & Gas Safety System: Signal transmission for gas detectors and fire safety digital sensors.
  • Power‑generation Turbine Compressor Protection: Digital safety signal interconnection for turbine protection SIS cabinet layout.
  • Off‑shore & On‑shore Oil‑gas Facilities: Cabinet‑internal wiring for safety instrumented loops within control cabinets.
  • Chemical Process Safety: Support high‑density DI/DO signal routing for reactor safety interlock circuits.

Key Features

  1. Factory Pre‑fabricated Assembly: Complete factory wiring and crimping, avoids poor contact caused by on‑site manual wiring, improves loop reliability for safety‑critical applications.
  2. Key‑locked Anti‑misplug Connectors: Mechanical keying prevents wrong‑slot insertion; locking latch resists vibration‑induced loose connection inside control cabinets.
  3. Full‑shielded Industrial Cable: Braided shielding suppresses electromagnetic interference from VFD, motor and high‑power circuits, preserves safety‑signal integrity.
  4. Optimized for High‑density I/O: Designed for 32‑point high‑density digital modules, simplifies dense cabinet wiring layout and reduces cabinet engineering workload.
  5. SIL‑3 Loop Ready: Qualified to work with Tricon TMR I/O modules for safety instrumented loops conforming to IEC 61508 standard.
  6. Easy Maintenance: Fast plug‑and‑play connection; no re‑wiring required during module or termination board replacement, shortens system maintenance downtime.
  7. Robust Industrial Construction: High‑quality insulation material, resistant to cabinet temperature fluctuation and long‑term aging.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Pre‑installation Inspection: Verify part number revision; check cable jacket, conductors and connector pins for mechanical damage. Follow ESD anti‑static handling procedures.
  2. Connector Mating: Align the keyed connector with the rear port of target Tricon high‑density I/O module, insert fully and engage locking latch. Connect the opposite end to corresponding termination board.
  3. Cable Routing: Route cable inside control cabinet. Maintain minimum bend radius; avoid sharp bending, pulling or squeezing the cable harness. Separate safety signal cables from high‑power cables to minimize EMI coupling.
  4. Mechanical Fixing: Secure cable with cable ties; do not apply excessive tension. Keep away from heat sources and sharp metal edges.
  5. Loop Commissioning: After full installation, perform continuity test for each signal channel. Confirm signal status consistency between I/O module and termination board before SIS system online operation.
  6. Environment Requirement: Install entirely within indoor control cabinet; operating temperature shall be kept within‑40 °C ~ +70 °C; avoid moisture and corrosive gas exposure.
