Product Application

PR6426/010-000 is a large‑diameter eddy‑current probe from EPRO (Emerson), working together with CON series preamplifier to realize non‑contact measurement of metal shaft displacement. It is widely used in steam turbines, centrifugal compressors, blowers, large pumps and other rotating equipment in power, petrochemical and oil & gas industries. Main measurement parameters: shaft relative radial vibration, axial thrust position, shaft eccentricity and differential expansion. The probe converts shaft‑to‑probe gap variation into gap voltage signal and transmits it to CSI6500 monitoring modules such as A6110 vibration monitor. The system fully complies with API 670 turbomachinery protection standard and provides protection trip and predictive maintenance data for critical rotating assets. Installation Guidelines

  1. Process the probe mounting bracket on bearing housing, ensure the bracket has enough rigidity to avoid resonance.
  2. Fix PR6426/010-000 probe via rectangular flange, do not clamp or squeeze the armored cable.
  3. Adjust static air gap between probe tip and shaft target surface to the nominal center gap about 5.5 mm.
  4. Route armored cable from probe to CON preamplifier, avoid sharp bending and extrusion of cable.
  5. Connect LEMO plug tightly between probe and preamplifier, confirm locking.
  6. Connect preamplifier output to A6110 TSI module front BNC port by dedicated coaxial cable.
