Product Application

PR6423/003-030 is the classic 8mm standard eddy‑current probe of EPRO, matched with CON021 preamplifier to form a fully calibrated measurement chain. It performs non‑contact measurement of relative shaft‑to‑bearing‑housing gap variation. Widely installed on steam turbines, gas turbines, centrifugal compressors, large pumps, blowers and hydroelectric units in petrochemical, oil & gas and power plants. Typical measurement parameters: X/Y orthogonal radial vibration, shaft axial thrust position, shaft eccentricity and rotor runout. The gap voltage signal output from CON021 is sent to TSI monitoring modules such as A6110 vibration monitor inside Emerson CSI6500 rack, realizing machinery protection alarm and trip, meanwhile uploading vibration waveform data to AMS predictive maintenance software. Installation Guidelines

  1. Install rigid probe bracket on bearing housing, avoid bracket resonance at machine working speed.
  2. Screw PR6423/003‑030 probe into M10 thread of bracket, lock the lock nut after gap adjustment.
  3. Adjust static air gap between probe tip and metal shaft target surface to the nominal center gap around 2.5 mm.
