Description

PECeLite-LV5F30-NF GE PECeLite Non-Fan Engine Control Processor Module

Product Application

PECeLite-LV5F30-NF is GE high-speed real-time engine controller, belongs to PECeLite engine control platform. It executes fuel scheduling, speed governing, exhaust temperature limiting, ignition sequencing, surge protection and engine protection logic for gas turbines and reciprocating engines. NF suffix means non-fan / convection cooling, no built-in cooling fan, suitable for low vibration, low maintenance cabinet layout. It connects to analog/digital I/O modules via backplane, communicates with HMI and upper DCS through Ethernet. Widely used for power generation, oil & gas engine-driven generator packages.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Power off PECeLite rack, insert LV5F30-NF module and fasten front panel screws.
  2. Wire 24VDC power supply to rack backplane.
  3. Connect I/O modules and field instruments via PECeLite backplane.
  4. Connect Ethernet cable to HMI or DCS system.
  5. Load engine control application and calibration parameters using PECeLite software.
  6. Perform I/O point-to-point test, verify speed, temperature and discrete signal acquisition.
  7. Test watchdog, alarm reporting and emergency trip logic.
  8. Complete engine static test before rolling engine.

Maintenance Instructions

Daily Maintenance Check front panel LED status; monitor controller health and engine alarms on HMI.

Periodic Maintenance (Every 6–12 months) Clean rack air filter and module surface dust. Backup control application and calibration parameters. Inspect backplane connector pins.

Fault Maintenance

  • Controller fails to boot: Check 24VDC power, backplane connection and firmware image integrity.
  • Communication lost: Inspect Ethernet cable, IP configuration and network switch.
  • Intermittent trip or speed oscillation: Check sensor wiring, calibration and controller tuning parameters.
  • Do not modify engine fuel / trip logic without engine control engineer authorization.

Long-Term Operation Tips Maintain cabinet temperature within -40~+70℃. Keep spare LV5F30-NF and full firmware/parameter backup.
