Description
NTE207‑CBNS‑0000 NT 2‑inch Brushless AC Servo Motor, 230VAC, English Mount Flange, 7.5 lb‑in Continuous Torque, 5000RPM, MS Connectors with 24VDC Holding Brake
Product Application
This NT series servo motor is engineered for high‑dynamic precision motion control in automated machinery. It delivers fast acceleration, accurate positioning and reliable brake holding performance for packaging equipment, robotic handling systems, CNC auxiliary axes, printing machinery, material processing machines, automated assembly stations and conveyor positioning systems. Perfectly matched with Control Techniques Unidrive M, Digitax ST servo drives, it supports high‑speed cyclic motion, multi‑axis synchronous control. The integrated holding brake provides static load locking for vertical axes, preventing workpiece dropping after power loss. Widely used in packaging, textile, machine tool, food processing and general industrial automation requiring compact high‑response servo solutions.

Product Features
✅ Ultra‑Low Inertia High Dynamic Performance Segmented stator core and high‑energy magnet design greatly reduce rotor inertia, support ultra‑fast acceleration and high‑frequency cyclic motion, ideal for short‑stroke high‑speed reciprocating positioning.
✅ Built‑in 24VDC Holding Brake Integrated electromagnetic brake locks the shaft reliably when power is cut off. Safely holds vertical axis loads, eliminates falling risk for gantry, lifting and Z‑axis applications.
✅ IP65 Rugged Industrial Construction Integral shaft seal and sealed MS connectors achieve IP65 ingress protection, resist cutting fluid splashing, dust and moisture on machine shop floors. Optional IP67S / IP68S high protection variants available.
✅ Multiple Mount & Wiring Options English NEMA flange mounting standard; optional metric IEC flange. Users can select MS connector or flying‑lead cable versions according to cabinet wiring layout. Direct‑connect cableless interface optional for simplified installation.
✅ Wide Compatibility with Control Techniques Drives Optimized motor parameters for Unidrive M and Digitax ST series servo drives, fast auto‑tuning, excellent current loop response and smooth low‑speed operation with minimal torque ripple.
✅ Flexible Encoder Configuration Standard 2048 ppr incremental encoder; absolute multi‑turn encoder optional for applications requiring position retention after power‑off without homing.
✅ Custom Surface Treatment Optional Standard industrial paint; food‑grade white epoxy coating available for food & beverage machinery to meet sanitary requirements.
Installation Guidelines
- Mount the servo motor onto mechanical equipment using the English flange mounting holes, tighten all flange bolts to specified torque to avoid vibration loosening during high‑speed operation.
- Check shaft alignment between motor and load (gearbox, coupling). Excessive misalignment will cause bearing wear, vibration and premature motor failure. Use a high‑quality flexible servo coupling.
- Wire the MS power connector and encoder connector to the matched servo drive. Use shielded servo cables, single‑point shielding grounding to suppress electromagnetic noise.
- Separate high‑power motor cables from low‑signal encoder cables in cable trays to avoid signal interference.
- Wire the 24VDC holding brake circuit independently; brake power supply must be controlled by drive safety relay for safe shaft release and locking logic.
- Before power‑on, manually rotate the motor shaft to confirm no mechanical jamming. Complete wiring inspection and insulation test.
- Perform drive auto‑tuning after power‑on, set brake logic parameters, test brake locking & releasing sequence, run no‑load test before full‑load commissioning.
- Reserve sufficient cooling air circulation around the motor; avoid direct heat radiation from nearby heat sources.
Maintenance Instructions
Daily Maintenance Visually inspect motor housing for oil leakage, paint peeling or corrosion. Check MS connector locking status for looseness. Listen for abnormal noise and vibration during motor running. Verify brake action when power is cut off.
Periodic Maintenance Every 6–12 months: Inspect shaft seal for oil leakage; check coupling tightness; test brake holding torque; inspect cable insulation and connector pin corrosion. Back up servo drive parameters.
Fault Maintenance
- Motor cannot rotate: Check power cable, encoder wiring, drive fault code; confirm brake is correctly released.
- Abnormal vibration & noise: Inspect coupling alignment, bearing damage or mechanical load jam.
- Holding brake failure: Check 24VDC brake power supply; do not disassemble brake assembly without professional guidance.
- Encoder signal loss: Check MS connector pins and shield cable continuity.
- Do not disassemble the motor stator and rotor. Return to official service centre for bearing replacement or brake overhaul.
Long‑Term Operation Tips Avoid continuous operation over maximum speed and peak torque rating. Prevent water, cutting fluid and metal chips from entering MS connectors. Store spare motors in dry constant‑temperature warehouse.
