Description

GE IS200EXAMG1BCB EX2100e Exciter Analog Module

Product Overview

IS200EXAMG1BCB is a TMR‑compliant analog measurement board for GE Speedtronic Mark VIe EX2100e generator excitation control system. It acquires and conditions critical analog field signals from generator‑exciter loops, performing isolation, filtering and analog‑to‑digital conversion. Via HSSL high‑speed serial bus, it transmits processed measurement data to the UCSx main controller for excitation closed‑loop regulation, protection and monitoring. Original production has been discontinued; this unit is supplied as aftermarket spare part for power‑plant retrofits and existing EX2100e cabinet maintenance.

Core Features

  1. TMR triple‑modular‑redundant design: Three independent measurement channels implement hardware voting; single‑channel fault does not break excitation control loop, improving power‑system availability.
  2. Galvanically isolated analog inputs: Isolation barrier suppresses common‑mode noise from high‑power exciter circuits, protects control side against field‑side surge interference.
  3. High‑precision signal conditioning & A/D conversion: Accurately samples exciter current, exciter voltage and generator terminal voltage for stable excitation regulation.
  4. HSSL high‑speed serial communication: Reliable data exchange with UCSx main controller, strong anti‑EMI performance inside high‑voltage excitation cabinet.
  5. Plug‑in rack‑mount construction: Standard Mark VIe slot installation, supports convenient module swap during field maintenance.
  6. Comprehensive on‑board diagnostics: Detects channel anomaly, signal out‑of‑range and internal hardware failure; pushes fault alarms to Mark VIe HMI for fast troubleshooting.

Main Functions

  1. Receive analog measurement signals from exciter current/voltage and generator PT‑transducer circuits, perform filtering, galvanic isolation and analog‑to‑digital conversion.
  2. Execute TMR voting for multi‑channel sampled data, deliver validated measurement values to UCSx main controller over HSSL bus.
  3. Provide critical feedback data for generator excitation closed‑loop control, supporting automatic voltage regulation (AVR) and manual excitation adjustment.
  4. Detect abnormal measurement range, signal loss and internal hardware faults; generate diagnostic alarms for system monitoring.
  5. Cooperate with EX2100e core control board to realize generator over‑excitation, under‑excitation and over‑voltage protection logic.
  6. Record measurement‑related diagnostic events for post‑trip analysis and equipment maintenance.
