Maintenance
- Routine inspection: Check module LED status, backplane connector and redundancy sync cable condition every 6–12 months
- Clean module surface with dry compressed air; liquid solvent cleaning is strictly prohibited
- ESD protection must be adopted during disassembly, anti-static wristband required
- If redundancy switchover alarm triggers, check sync cable, Ethernet connection and CPU health status
- Do not energize the module if PCB corrosion, burn marks or condensation are found
- We support function testing, refurbishment and spare replacement service for this redundant processor kit
Installation
- Follow DCS safety operation procedure; hot-swap replacement can be executed under safe operating condition or cut off cabinet power supply.
- Wear anti-static wristband to prevent electrostatic damage to PCB components.
- Install TP830 baseplates on rack slots, insert two PM864A processor modules and lock fastening latches.
- Connect redundancy synchronization cable between the two CPUs.
- Connect shielded Ethernet cables to onboard RJ45 ports for control network.
- Configure controller parameters, redundancy settings and download control program via engineering software.
- Restore power supply, verify CPU synchronization and redundant switchover status.
- Perform loop test and commissioning; validate bumpless failover function between primary and standby CPU.
