Description

ICS Triplex T8231 Trusted 750W Power Pack

Product Overview

T8231 is a hot‑swappable high‑efficiency power pack for ICS Triplex Trusted SIS safety instrumented system (owned by Rockwell Automation). It supplies regulated 24 VDC power for Trusted TMR controller chassis, processor modules and I/O assemblies. Multiple T8231 units can be installed inside T8230 power shelf to realize N+1 redundant load‑sharing power supply, eliminating single‑point power failure risk for safety‑critical plant systems. It is widely used for new project deployment and spare‑part replacement of existing Trusted platform.

Core Features

  1. N+1 redundant load‑sharing: Multiple modules work in parallel; if one power pack fails, remaining units automatically share full load without interrupting SIS system operation.
  2. Hot‑swap capability: Faulty power pack can be pulled out and replaced online, no system power‑off required, minimizes plant downtime.
  3. Universal wide AC input: Accepts global 85‑264 VAC mains supply, built‑in power factor correction for stable power quality.
  4. Comprehensive multi‑level protection: Over‑voltage, over‑current, short‑circuit, over‑temperature and fan‑fault protection.
  5. Integrated diagnostic function: Reports input loss, output anomaly, fan failure and over‑temperature status to system via alarm contacts and front‑panel LED indicators for fast troubleshooting.
  6. Industrial rugged design: Metal housing, suitable for cabinet installation in heavy‑duty workshop; T8231C coated variant available for high‑humidity and corrosive sites.

Main Functions

  1. Convert AC mains input into stable regulated 24 VDC power to supply Trusted chassis, TMR processor and all I/O modules.
  2. Realize automatic load‑sharing among multiple power packs inside T8230 shelf for redundant power architecture.
  3. Detect internal faults including fan stall, over‑temperature, over‑voltage and over‑current; trigger protective shutdown for faulty unit while keeping other power packs running.
  4. Provide hardware alarm signal contacts for upper‑level monitoring system to capture power‑supply health status.
  5. Support online hot‑swap replacement; synchronize load distribution after new module insertion.
  6. Deliver continuous clean power to guarantee TMR safety system running under normal and partial‑fault conditions.
