Description
Bently‑Nevada 135031‑01 RIM I/O Daughter‑Board (Built‑in Modem Interface)
Product Overview
135031‑01 is rear‑mounted I/O daughter‑card for 3500/20 Rack Interface Module(RIM). It is equipped with integrated Hayes‑compatible dial‑up modem, RS‑232 / RS‑422 serial ports, system‑OK relay terminal and remote‑reset input. It plugs onto the back of 3500/20 main logic board (125744‑01 /125744‑02), providing external physical communication and relay terminals for the whole 3500 rack. OEM production discontinued, only aftermarket spare for legacy TSI racks.

Core Features
- Integrated dial‑up modem: Supports Hayes AT‑command set, allows remote dial‑in to 3500 rack for configuration download/upload, reading alarm/event history, suitable for sites without network infrastructure.
- Dual serial interfaces RS‑232 / RS‑422: RS‑422 supports long‑distance multi‑drop serial communication to TDIX / TDXnet communication processors.
- System‑OK relay & remote‑reset input: Screw terminals provide dry‑contact rack‑health alarm output to DCS/annunciator; accepts external dry‑contact signal for remote rack alarm reset.
- Rear‑slot hot‑swap design: Installed on rack rear side, pairs with front‑mounted 3500/20 main board. Not part of protection trip path, failure will not affect monitor trip‑output logic.
- Full backward compatibility: Works with both standard‑RIM(125744‑02) and TMR‑RIM(125744‑01) main boards.
Main Functions
- Provides physical external connectors for 3500/20‑RIM main board: modem telephone‑line port, RS‑232/RS‑422 serial ports, relay & remote‑reset screw terminals.
- Realizes remote dial‑up connection: off‑site engineers can dial into rack to read vibration data, event logs, modify rack configuration.
- Outputs System‑OK dry‑contact alarm signal for external plant alarm system; receives remote‑reset contact signal to clear rack latched alarms.
- Converts internal RIM backplane signals to industry‑standard serial signals for connection to TDIX/TDXnet or host System‑1 diagnostic platform.
